Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a method of establishing access to an online account or computer system that requires a user to provide two different types of information. With two-factor authentication, users need to both provide a password and prove their identity some other way to gain access.
This provides an extra level of security over a username/password combination.
HunchBuzz offers two layers of 2FA protection:
- HunchBuzz users can turn on 2FA for their account by going to their profile and clicking the "Setup 2FA" button. HunchBuzz 2FA works with all common authenticator apps.
- Community admins can also require all users to authenticate with 2FA. When this setting is turned on all users will be required to provide a password and a 2FA code to sign in successfully:
Note: The Session Length setting will determine how often users will be re-challenged.
