Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a method of establishing access to an online account or computer system that requires a user to provide two different types of information. With two-factor authentication, users need to both provide a password and prove their identity some other way to gain access.

This provides an extra level of security over a username/password combination.

HunchBuzz offers two layers of 2FA protection:

1. HunchBuzz users can turn on 2FA for their account by going to their profile and clicking the "Setup 2FA" button. HunchBuzz 2FA works with all common authenticator apps.
2. Community admins can also require all users to authenticate with 2FA. When this setting is turned on all users will be required to provide a password and a 2FA code to sign in successfully:
   

Note: The Session Length setting will determine how often users will be re-challenged.
